Digital Music

I read an article which talked about the revenue of digital music download to be legal. In IFPI publishes Digital Music Report 2008 , it pointed out that there are a lot of business advances exist in digital music. If we want to save the problem which from copyright thefts, record companies and ISP cooperation should help each other.

"The report calls for legislative action by the European Union and other governments where existing discussions between the music industry and record companies fail to progress. "

Digital music is a controversial topic. It is easy to get but not easy to control. That's the reason why it need government to make the rule. According to this article, I got a idea that ISP cooperation and record companies can work together to get more revenue. Via their cooperation, not only make the digital system more perfect, but also help the artists have more money and resource to create music.

There are many countries have the problem about copyright thefts. I remember that around four of five years ago, in my country, Taiwan, there was a news had been discussed a lot. The policemen went to a university's dorm to investigate the students who download music from Internet. And they arrested some students. People had discussed this news because there was no body told those student that they were illegal. They download music from the isp cooperation which showed a lot of ads on TV. But actually their behavior looked like copyright thefts.

Until today, there are still many problems from digital music. However, it is a tend that digital music type to be a major way for public people to get music.
